The Michigan Committee for Severe Weather Awareness was formed in 1991 by the governor of Michigan. Our mission is to provide information and advice that keeps Michigan residents prepared when severe weather strikes. Membership is open to all persons who desire to promote education and public awareness relating to severe weather preparedness and safety. This includes individuals, elected officials, federal, state, and local employees, engineers, planners, and consultants. Contact information for current committee members is listed below.
